Your site is yours to run. Here is where we are still useful.
We are not on your site. We do not install windows, we do not supervise your labour, and we do not manage your programme. Installation is your contractor’s scope, and on a site 8,000 kilometres from Foshan that is the only honest answer.
The tolerances nobody writes down
Almost every site dispute we are called into traces back to one line that was never written: which trade owns the opening dimension. The window is manufactured to a dimension; the opening is built by someone else, and it lands wherever it lands. If the tolerance the window was designed to is never written into the contract, there is no line between “the factory made it wrong” and “the opening was built wrong”.
So before production we put three things in writing:
The opening tolerance
The tolerance the units were designed to, and the check that proves compliance — measured twice where render or screed will change the opening: once on the structural opening, once after finishing.
Who corrects an out-of-tolerance opening, and who pays
On paper this is a line in a table. After the units are fabricated it is a variation, a delay, or a set of windows that do not fit.
The interface, trade by trade
Where the flashing goes, who seals what, what happens at stone and EIFS reveals, and where the drainage path ends. Our drawing review and installation details exist to close these lines, not to look thorough.
We also decide the acceptance test before anyone is on site: how the installation will be checked, to which method, and what record proves it passed.
Answers, not excuses
From Foshan we can do more than send documents.
Video support
A fitter holding a phone at the opening is usually enough to resolve what three emails cannot. We can look at the jamb, the sill, the sash clearance and the hardware in real time.
Triage
The first question on any site issue is whether it is a product defect or an installation error — because the answer decides who pays, and the two look similar from the ground.
Parts and glass
Breakage and shortages are normal. We make sure the spares that matter — glass by unit, hardware by model, gaskets by series — travel with the container rather than by air freight three weeks later.
Replacement units
If a unit genuinely has to be remade, we run it through the factory and match the batch, the finish and the label.
What we cannot do: make an inexperienced installer competent, guarantee your programme, or put a supervisor on your site. If you need site supervision, that is a local appointment, and we would rather tell you that than sell you something we cannot deliver.
Attribution
This is the part of the process that only a buyer-side party can do properly. When water appears at a sill eight months after handover, the factory will say the installation was wrong and the installer will say the goods were defective. Both have something to lose. We hold the records that decide it: the sealed sample, the inspection photographs by opening ID, the loading records, and the specification that was locked before production.
Where the fault is the factory’s, a quality problem goes back to the factory through us, within 12 months of delivery. Where it is an installation error, we will say so as directly as we would say the opposite — a report that always blames the factory is worth nothing to you in the second year.
